Are you a student or recent graduate interested in a hands-on career in the skilled trades? The General Services Department is offering a dynamic Trades Internship Program designed to provide real-world experience in various government-run trade operations.

Interns will work alongside seasoned professionals in areas such as:

- Electrical
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- Building
- Automotive

This is your chance to gain valuable experience, develop technical skills, and explore public service as a career pathway—all while contributing to projects that serve your community.

Responsibilities

- Assist tradespeople with routine maintenance, repair, and installation work.

- Learn to use tools, equipment, and safety procedures specific to each trade.

- Participate in safety briefings and job site meetings.

- Shadow professionals and gain insights into trade career opportunities within the government.

Qualifications:

Must be a rising or current high school senior, or any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
