$47,433 - $73,743 / year DOQ + Full-Time County Benefits
Performs advanced work administering one or more functions of the Commissioner of the Revenue's Office related to the assessment of local taxes
Responsibilities
• Assists in the assessment of local taxes including personal property, excise, and licenses and VA State Income Tax.
• Assists taxpayers in filing appropriate returns relate to the assessment of and relief for local taxes.
• Provides assistance to taxpayers in interpreting and compliance with State and local tax codes, ordinances, laws, regulations and policies.
Qualifications:
• Experience and education equivalent to an Associate's degree in accounting, taxation or business.
• Considerable experience in the use and maintenance of computerized records systems.
• Knowledge of State and local statutes regarding the assessment and taxation of property taxes.
